11 new GEZUBUSO children in 2018
The joy was great, but space soon scarce.
Another 11 children aged 1-11 years have now joined us. The joy was great, but space soon became scarce. Without further ado, the living room of Sunshine House in Pietermaritzburg was converted into a bedroom and another building was erected on the grounds.
The joy was great, but the children’s backgrounds were as always rather saddening – among them:
- Two sets of siblings (aged 1 and 2 years, and 3 and 5 years, respectively) abandoned by their parents
- A 10-year-old girl raped by the friend of her former foster mother
- Four siblings aged 4, 5, 9 and 11 years neglected due to their mother’s mentally confused state
