No Data Protection Officer has been appointed, as the conditions of Art. 37 GDPR in conjunction with § 38 BDSG do not apply.

3. Collection and Processing of Personal Data

a) Website access / server log files

When you visit our website, information is automatically transmitted by the browser used on your device to our web server. This information (such as IP address, date and time of the request, name and URL of the accessed file, referring website) is temporarily stored in server log files.
Processing is based on Art. 6 (1) f GDPR and serves the operation and security of the website. The data is deleted after no more than 7 days. The recipient is our hosting provider ALL-INKL.COM - Neue Medien Münnich.

b) Contact by e-mail

If you contact us by e-mail, the personal data you provide will be used solely to process your inquiry. Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) b GDPR. Data will be deleted once your request has been fully processed, at the latest after 6 months.

c) Donations

You can support us in two ways:

1. Direct donations to our bank account
If you transfer donations directly to our bank account, we process your personal data (e.g. name, address, bank details) for the purpose of handling the donation and issuing a donation receipt. Legal bases are Art. 6 (1) b GDPR (contract) and Art. 6 (1) c GDPR (statutory tax obligations). Donor data must be retained for up to 10 years in accordance with tax regulations (§ 147 AO).

2. Donations via betterplace.org
If you use the donation form provided by betterplace.org embedded on our website, your data is collected directly by betterplace.org (gut.org gAG, Berlin). We only receive the data necessary to process the donation.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) b GDPR. Further information can be found in the betterplace.org privacy policy.

d) Membership administration

To manage members, we store personal data such as name, address, e-mail address and bank details. Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) b GDPR. After membership ends, data is retained in accordance with tax law for up to 10 years.

e) Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use your e-mail address exclusively to send you information about our work and current projects. Registration requires a double opt-in procedure: after signing up, you receive a confirmation e-mail in which you must explicitly confirm your subscription.
Legal basis is your consent under Art. 6 (1) a GDPR. You may withdraw your consent at any time with future effect, for example via the unsubscribe link in each newsletter. If we use a newsletter service provider (e.g. Mailchimp, Brevo), we will provide information about this separately in this privacy policy.

f) Embedded social feeds

We integrate social media feeds (e.g. Instagram, Facebook) on our website. When you access such content, personal data (such as your IP address) is transmitted directly to Meta Platforms Inc. / Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. This only happens after you have given your consent via our cookie banner (Art. 6 (1) a GDPR in conjunction with § 25 TTDSG). Without your consent, no data is transmitted.

g) Embedded videos (YouTube/Vimeo)

Our website may embed videos from YouTube or Vimeo. If you play such a video, data is transmitted to the respective provider. Transmission only takes place after you have given consent via our cookie banner (Art. 6 (1) a GDPR in conjunction with § 25 TTDSG).

h) Cookies

Our website uses so-called session cookies, which are technically necessary. These are automatically deleted once you close your browser. They are required to provide basic website functions (such as navigation and language settings). Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) f GDPR in conjunction with § 25 (2) TTDSG.

We do not use any tracking or analytics tools.
If we introduce additional cookies in the future (e.g. analytics or convenience functions), we will obtain your prior consent through a cookie banner.

i) Photos at events

At our events, photos or videos may be taken and used for our public relations work (e.g. on our website, in newsletters, or on social media). Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) f GDPR in conjunction with § 23 German Art Copyright Act (KUG). If you do not wish to be photographed or published, please let us know on site.

4. Your rights

You have the following rights under the GDPR:

  • Right of access to your stored data (Art. 15 GDPR)

  • Right to rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)

  • Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)

  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)

  • Right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)

  • Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)

You also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time with future effect.
